Our Experience During the Ascend 2021 Oracle Conference
FXLoader recently had the opportunity to attend Ascend 2021: Elevating Insights for the Oracle Community in Hollywood, Florida (IN-PERSON!).
Virtual & In-Person
For many people, 2021 OATUG Ascend was the first return to an in-person conference. As expected, there were some last-minute cancelations and travel restrictions. However, holding the conference in a hybrid manner worked as a fantastic alternative to a totally in-person conference. Attendees were offered a virtual option for the conference experience. Sessions were live-streamed, giving attendees the ability to connect and participate via an impressive conference mobile app. This was executed seamlessly through the efforts of the OATUG team and the software platform.
The smaller, in-person numbers meant that those attending in-person had the advantage of longer, more relaxed interactions with colleagues. As great as it was to keep the event on track with a hybrid option, we are looking forward to travel restrictions being lifted before next year’s conference!
Conference Presentations & Sessions
During the conference, we enjoyed presenting alongside Stitch Fix during the Multinational Success at Stitch Fix with Oracle ERP Cloud session. Throughout this session with Stitch Fix, attendees learned what 100% cloud Enterprise Application adoption entails. Other topics included details about Oracle ERP Cloud multi-ledger and multi-currency functionality. Lastly, the session spoke to Stitch Fix’s consolidation setup and process with Oracle Financials Cloud.
Overall, the conference offered many interesting and educational sessions, both online and in-person. The sessions were extremely impressive since the technology worked both ways – depending on the presentation. By this, we mean there was a great mix of virtual and in-person presenters. There were in-person presenters speaking live, in Florida, to an in-person and virtual audience. Additionally, there was well as virtual, live presenters speaking to both in-person and online audiences.
We enjoyed seeing photos shared from the conference hall, during sessions, and especially during the sponsored events. We are unable to be everywhere during the conference hours, so it is nice to see the sessions and events that we are unable to attend live, via social media posts and images. Ascend 2022 Oracle Conference
Our team at FXLoader is looking forward to attending the Ascend Conference in 2022, and (hopefully) seeing everyone in-person once again at another great Oracle conference!
