Release 12 Period Average Rates Announced

Period Rates are no longer held separately in Release 12; instead you specify a Daily Rate Type to use for your period end and period average in translation and revaluation. However, Oracle does not calculate the average for you from the Daily Rate Type you specify. Therefore, FXLoader has developed an extension to the R12 suite to calculate this average rate for you and store it in a separate Rate Type.
